Y este cambio no pasa desapercibido. Una de las formas m\u00e1s potentes en que la Tierra nos alerta es a trav\u00e9s de las <strong>tormentas el\u00e9ctricas<\/strong>, fen\u00f3menos naturales que evolucionan r\u00e1pidamente debido al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredientes para una tormenta m\u00e1s peligrosa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Las tormentas el\u00e9ctricas requieren tres elementos: humedad, aire inestable y un mecanismo que impulse el ascenso del aire (como frentes fr\u00edos, brisas marinas o incluso el paso de otra tormenta). En un mundo m\u00e1s c\u00e1lido, cada uno de estos factores se est\u00e1 viendo profundamente alterado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un efecto directo del calentamiento global es el aumento de la humedad atmosf\u00e9rica. Por cada grado Celsius adicional, el aire puede retener cerca de un <strong>7 % m\u00e1s de vapor de agua<\/strong>. Ese exceso alimenta tormentas m\u00e1s violentas, capaces de producir lluvias extremas en muy poco tiempo, con consecuencias como inundaciones repentinas y da\u00f1os en infraestructuras cr\u00edticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">M\u00e1s rayos y descargas el\u00e9ctricas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El problema no se limita a la lluvia. La actividad de <strong>tormentas el\u00e9ctricas<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 aumentando. Investigaciones cient\u00edficas estiman que, por cada grado de calentamiento, la frecuencia de los rayos puede incrementarse hasta en un <strong>12 %<\/strong>.
